Does anyone have any suggestions for heavier white drawing paper that does not fight watercolor paint that was ordered this year?
My 60 & 80 lb.drawing/mixed-media paper really fights watercolor paint. I'm going to do another order but would love some suggestions of papers you recommend (please identify the distributor as well).
I usually go with watercolor paper that is no less than 90#. I've ordered Canson before, but am going to try the bulk 100pk Sax this next time around.
ReplyDeletedefinatly order paper that is at least 90lb or above.... i tend to use 140lb watercolor paper and i also use that for tempera paint. it holds up really well.
ReplyDeleteI order a student grade watercolor paper, rather than using heavy drawing paper. The texture and absorbancy is meant for watercolors and so it works so much better.
ReplyDeleteMolly Hawkins is a great source for drawing and watercolor papers. Much cheaper than any other source that I have found.
